Words from Our Director

Welcome to our new Old Drum Animal Shelter website! It is a dream come true to be able to service Johnson County, Missouri, directing the Old Drum Animal Shelter. With more than 15 years of experience working in low-cost veterinarian practices and traditional boarding facilities, my passion for animal care is what motivates me. I enjoy attending training opportunities and educational webinars that benefit growing our shelter practices. I strive to get to know each animal individually whether through cleaning, medicating or exercising them so that they can be best placed into forever homes.

Our 501(c)(3), Warrensburg Animal Rescue, will continue to offer the same mission we have strived for, and provide a safe environment at the Old DrumAnimal Shelter that focuses on the health and welfare of every animal that comes in, as well as serving the community through proactive programs and services. We are proud to offer a no-kill facility and use collected resources to aid our shelter pets in the best way possible. Each year we care for more than 500 animals so we place our focus on the number of homeless pet adoptions as well as pet ownership education in our community.

Warrensburg Animal Rescue is looking forward to working with you!

Kayla Frank, Director of Old Drum Animal Shelter
